In Edirne, 21 irregular migrants were detained while attempting to enter Türkiye illegally. Security forces have been actively conducting inspections and monitoring activities throughout the city to prevent irregular migration. During these operations, authorities apprehended 21 migrants from Egypt, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

After completing the necessary procedures, they were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.

In Izmir, the Turkish Coast Guard Command rescued 27 irregular migrants, including two children, from rubber boats that had been forcibly pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek authorities.

According to a statement from the coast guard, a group of irregular migrants was spotted aboard a rubber boat off the coast of Cesme, prompting the dispatch of a rescue team. The migrants were safely brought ashore.

In a separate operation off the coast of Foca, 58 irregular migrants, including 32 children, were detained in two rubber boats. The migrants were subsequently transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for further processing.
