Alperen Sengun records double-double in 25 mins as Rockets crush Mavericks

Turkish international NBA All-Star Alperen Sengun delivered another standout performance, posting 16 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal in just 25 minutes as the Houston Rockets cruised to a 133-96 victory over the injury-depleted Dallas Mavericks.

With the game well in hand, Sengun was rested in the fourth quarter.

The Rockets had previously secured a win against the San Antonio Spurs, overcoming a tough third quarter to claim a 97-84 victory.

Tari Eason led Houston’s scoring with 30 points and 8 rebounds, while Jalen Green contributed 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Aaron Holiday and Jabari Smith Jr. each added 13 points, and Dillon Brooks finished with 12.

On the Mavericks’ side, Brandon Williams led the effort with 25 points, followed by Naji Marshall with 21 and Spencer Dinwiddie with 20.

Dallas also suffered a setback as Dante Exum, who played just seven minutes, exited with an injury and is expected to be sidelined indefinitely.

With this win, Houston improved to 42-25, solidifying its position in third place in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, Dallas dropped to 33-35, holding onto the 10th seed in the West.
