Turkish star Alperen Sengun played a key role in the Houston Rockets’ dominant 148-109 victory over the Phoenix Suns in an NBA regular-season matchup.

With the emphatic win, the Rockets improved their record to 49-26, sitting second in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Suns fell to 35-40, dropping to 11th place and jeopardizing their playoff hopes.

Sengun’s solid performance

Sengun delivered a strong performance, finishing with 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists in 26 minutes.

Jalen Green led the Rockets with 33 points, continuing his impressive form. Fred VanVleet contributed 13 points and 7 assists, while Cam Whitmore also added 13 points.

Amen Thompson nearly secured a triple-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists.

Phoenix struggled offensively, with only three players scoring in double digits. Devin Booker led with 28 points, Kevin Durant added 11, and Monte Morris chipped in with 10. Mason Plumlee finished with 9 points and 6 rebounds.

With this commanding win, the Rockets solidified their standing in the Western Conference, while the Suns’ playoff chances took a significant blow.
