Mikail Yuksel, leader of the Nuance Party in Sweden, of Turkish descent, is conducting a campaign in his hometown of Kulu, Konya, to garner support from expatriates for the European Parliament elections.
Yuksel, a politician who founded a party in Sweden to combat racism and Islamophobia, explained his reasons for establishing his party during a meeting held at the Kulu Municipality Conference Hall as part of his efforts to hold the European Parliament elections in June.
Yuksel emphasized that they are not an ideological party but a centrist one and highlighted that Islamophobia has reached alarming levels in Europe, particularly in Sweden.
Yuksel also explained that unfairness and racism are directed toward people of African descent, especially if they come from Muslim countries like Somalia.
He said, “We are not just a party exclusive to Muslims. Christian hostility is a separate issue. We are the only party in Sweden that calls for sanctions against Israel. We demand sanctions against Israel, support for Palestine, and removal of Hamas from the list of terrorist organizations. If we do not label Israel, which has been killing innocent civilians, children, and women in Palestine for over 70 years, as a terrorist organization, then we will also stop labeling Hamas as a terrorist organization.”
