Polish deputy defense minister visits Türkiye’s TAI
Polish Deputy Defense Minister Pawel Bejda and his delegation visited Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) in Ankara on Tuesday.
The delegation, led by Bejda, tours the company’s facilities in Ankara.
During the visit, TAI officials provided the Polish visitors with a thorough overview of the company’s indigenous and national technologies.
TAI introduced the delegation to a variety of products and initiatives that showcased the company’s indigenous capabilities.
The potential for defense industry cooperation between the two countries was the subject of discussion during the meetings. The parties discussed future joint initiatives.
The meeting was highly productive, as both the Polish delegation and TAI officials expressed after the visit.
It is anticipated that this interaction will fortify the defense relationship between Poland and Türkiye.
Poland-Türkiye defense cooperation
Michael Werbowski, an expert on international relations and security from the Warsaw Institute in Poland, also stated in 2023 that Türkiye should see Poland as an attractive market for the Turkish defense industry.
This cooperation will strengthen the defense capabilities of both countries. With these talks, Türkiye-Poland defense cooperation is likely to continue.
In addition, Poland purchased 24 Bayraktar TB2s from Türkiye, marking the first time a NATO and European Union member state has purchased a Turkish Bayraktar TB2 armed unmanned aerial vehicle.
