FETO terrorist group’s judge arrested in Ankara after 8 years at large
In a joint operation conducted by the National Intelligence Organization and the Ankara Police Department, the Gulenist Terror Group (FETO) member Judge Mustafa Karatay was arrested at a residence in Ankara where he had been hiding.
Karatay is identified as one of the key figures behind the failed coup attempt on July 15, 2016.
He had evaded capture for eight years before being apprehended after his neighbors notified the authorities.
While searching for the expelled residence, authorities seized a laptop, tablet, phone and other digital materials that he used to communicate with the organization’s upper management.
It was determined that the fugitive judge had been using the Signal application to communicate with the group.
