Besiktas is working to resign their former player, Ridvan Yilmaz, who was sold to Glasgow Rangers two seasons ago for €4.5 million ($4.7 million).

The Turkish club aims to sign him on a loan deal with a buy option. The possibility of Yilmaz’s return has gained momentum as Rangers may be open to parting ways with the player.

A return to form

Yilmaz, who transferred to Rangers for €4.5 million, initially struggled to meet expectations. However, in recent weeks, he has found his form again and is eager to return to the black-and-white kit.

Although Rangers have decided to potentially let him go, Besiktas’ proposal for a loan with a buy option has not been well-received by the Scottish side.

President pushes for deal

Glasgow Rangers had considered selling Yilmaz for £5 million in January, due to his improved performances, which have led to an increase in his value. However, Besiktas President Serdal Adali has not given up on the deal. Adali is personally overseeing the negotiations and is working to convince Rangers.

Yilmaz’s strong desire to return to Besiktas has strengthened the club’s position, making it more likely for the transfer to proceed through a loan deal with an option to buy.
