Reporters Without Borders condemns Israeli raid on Al Jazeera’s Ramallah office
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) reacted to the Israeli military raid and closure of Al Jazeera’s office in Ramallah.
In a statement published on RSF’s X account, it was reminded that Israeli soldiers raided the Ramallah office of Qatar’s Al Jazeera yesterday, forcing its employees to evacuate, tearing a photo of a reporter and ordering the office to close for 45 days.
Reacting to this raid, RSF once again condemned Israel’s brutal attacks on Al-Jazeera.
Al Jazeera’s Palestinian Director Walid Omarie told Anadolu Agency (AA) reporters yesterday that Israeli forces stormed the office in Ramallah at night with a large number of soldiers, blew up the door and handed them the order to close the office for 45 days.
Israeli soldiers smashed a photograph of journalist Shirin Abu Aqileh, who was killed in Israeli attacks.
Al Jazeera’s office in Jerusalem was also closed about four months ago.
