Iftar tables to be set up in 81 provinces across Türkiye during Ramadan

The General Directorate of Foundations of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will establish iftar tables in 81 provinces through regional directorates

Building on the success of 2022, when iftar tables were set up in 25 provinces, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s General Directorate of Foundations is expanding its Ramadan iftar program to encompass all 81 provinces. This initiative strengthens the foundation’s mission of fostering community spirit.

Hot food will be distributed in designated venues and areas in all cities. During Ramadan, the organization plans to serve 40,000 in Istanbul alone.

The “2024 Foundation Iftar Meetings Program” will be held at the Binbirdirek Cistern under the coordination of Yavuz Guner, Istanbul’s first regional director of the General Directorate of Foundations.

In addition to the Ramadan iftar program, a mobile soup kitchen will provide hot meals to those in need. It will be stationed at Eyupsultan Square in Istanbul from Friday to Sunday and at Orta Mosque Square in Tekirdag on Tuesday and Thursday.
