Türkiye’s TOGG unveils plans for new T8X SUV with European market expansion

Turkish car manufacturer TOGG has announced plans to introduce its latest model, the T8X, a B-segment sport utility vehicle (SUV), following the launch of the T10F sedan next year.
CEO Gurcan Karakas revealed the company’s strategy during a test drive event at the TOGG campus in Bursa, northwestern Türkiye.
“We are excited to unveil the T8X after the T10F sedan hits the market. We aim to offer an all-wheel-drive version of the T10X as a limited edition by June-July this year,” Karakas stated.
TOGG targets key European markets
TOGG has been expanding its presence in Europe since last year, with the establishment of TOGG Europe GmbH in May 2021.
“Currently, we’re building the infrastructure and we want to start the pre-order of the T10X in Europe at the end of this year, and start the deliveries of the new 2025 model,” Karakas stated.
In a shift from their initial plans, Karakas revealed TOGG’s decision to focus on entering key European markets, particularly Germany, France and Italy.
This strategic shift follows a reevaluation of market dynamics, with Karakas emphasizing the rapid expansion of Chinese carmakers globally.
TOGG’s 20,000 units sold out in just 18 hours
Highlighting TOGG’s remarkable debut in the automotive market, Karakas emphasized the unprecedented demand for their vehicles.
“With over 80% of sales being the top-tier model, we delivered 20,000 units from April 2023 to the end of the year, a testament to our country’s capability in the automotive sector,” Karakas remarked.
He noted that all planned production for the year was sold out within 18 hours of launch, with Türkiye demonstrating a readiness for electric vehicles.
“There is not a single firm in the world known to have produced 20,000 units of vehicles in their first year of production and have sold them all, at least to our knowledge, which is why this is a remarkable success for our country and every one of us, marking it a pleasant beginning,” he added.
TOGG to launch B-Segment SUV T8X in 2025
Karakas expressed confidence in TOGG’s future success, citing ongoing efforts to develop new models beyond the T10F sedan.
“Our journey doesn’t end with the T10F. We’re already preparing for the launch of the T8X SUV next year, aiming to build on our achievements,” he concluded.
