70 Syrian officers who fled to Lebanon captured, returned to new Syrian gov’t

Following the fall of the Assad regime in Syria, 70 officers who had fled to Lebanon were captured and handed over to Syria’s new government.
According to military sources from the new Syrian government, new information has emerged regarding the soldiers who escaped to Lebanon after the regime’s collapse. These officers were detained in Lebanon and subsequently transferred back to Syria under the control of the newly established government.
Additionally, 1,905 soldiers loyal to the deposed Assad regime, who had fled to Iraq, were returned to Syria on Dec. 19.
