A recent survey conducted by MAK Research indicates widespread dissatisfaction with economic management in Türkiye, with many respondents highlighting difficulties in accessing food and essential goods.

Survey overview and key findings

The survey, held between November 3-12, included 3,200 participants from 44 provinces across Türkiye. When asked, “Are you satisfied with the country’s economic management considering current conditions?” 43.9% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction, while only 25.5% said they were satisfied.

Access to basic needs remains a challenge

A significant portion of respondents, 41%, reported that accessing food and essential goods is the biggest financial challenge they face. Additionally, 20% cited housing costs as their primary concern, followed by 14% who mentioned difficulties in covering education expenses.

Mixed feelings on quality of life in Türkiye

The survey also asked participants whether they are satisfied living in Türkiye under current conditions. Of those polled, 35% expressed satisfaction, while 34% said they were not content. Notably, 5% of participants declined to respond.
