Trump open to offering Cabinet role to Elon Musk
Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump mentioned the possibility of offering Elon Musk a role in his Cabinet if he wins the upcoming election. However, Trump acknowledged that Musk is too busy to take on such a position but could serve as an advisor instead.
Trump appeared on the program of American YouTuber and former soldier Shawn Ryan, where he discussed various topics, including the potential involvement of Musk in his administration.
Speaking about Musk, Trump said, “He wants to be involved. Look, he runs massive businesses, so he really can’t do it. I would put him in the Cabinet, absolutely, but with everything he’s doing, I don’t know how he could manage. But he could serve as an advisor, so to speak, and give you great ideas.”
Previously, Trump had indicated to a media outlet that he might offer Musk a Cabinet role or an advisory position if he wins the presidency.
Musk, who owns companies like Tesla, Neuralink, xAI, and X, hinted at his readiness to join Trump’s Cabinet if the former president wins the election on November 5. Musk shared an AI-generated image of himself on social media, portraying himself as a “minister” with the caption, “Ready to serve.”
