World Bank projects steady growth for Turkiye, adjusts global economic forecasts

World Bank releases its latest economic projections, highlighting a steady growth path for Turkiye

The World Bank has released its latest economic projections, forecasting a steady growth trajectory for Turkiye over the next three years. According to the institution, Turkiye’s economy is expected to expand by 4.2% in 2023, 3.1% in 2024, and 3.9% in 2025. 

The World Bank has also revised its growth expectations for major economies. Notably, the forecast for the U.S. has been increased by 0.8 percentage points to 1.6% for the year 2024. 

As for Europe, the World Bank set a modest growth expectation of 0.7% for the Eurozone in 2024.

Meanwhile, China’s economy is projected to grow by 4.5% this year as per the World Bank’s estimates. This projection for China, a key player in the global economy, suggests a stable but moderate pace of growth in comparison to the country’s historical trends.
