US military base in Syria’s El Omar oil field was attacked by missiles, marking the second attack against US soldiers since the Hamas-Israel conflict.

American and allied forces stationed in Syria faced rocket attacks on Monday, as confirmed by a US defense official. This incident follows a drone attack in Jordan the previous day, which resulted in the tragic loss of three American troops.

The rockets were reportedly launched against US and coalition forces at Patrol Base Shaddadi in northeastern Syria. No injuries were reported, and there was no damage to infrastructure, according to the anonymous US defense official.

The United States maintains a military presence with approximately 900 troops in Syria and 2,500 in neighboring Iraq, contributing to the international coalition against the Islamic State group. The region has witnessed a surge in attacks since mid-October, with many attributed to a loose alliance of Iran-backed militant groups opposing American support for Israel in the Gaza conflict.
