In Valencies authorities have captured a gang involved in stealing corpses from hospitals and selling them to medical faculties for $1300

In Valencia, Spain, a criminal organization that stole the bodies of orphans from hospitals with false documents and sold them to medical faculties for 1,200 euros ($1298.6) has been apprehended.

In the operation conducted by the Spanish National Police in the city, it was announced that four male Spanish citizens aged between 41 and 74 were arrested for theft and illegal sale of corpses.

In the statement, it was stated that the criminal organization received the bodies of orphans who died in hospitals or elderly care homes by forging documents and sold them to medical faculties to be used as cadavers.

Spanish police stated that the investigation was initiated after a funeral home irregularly removed the body of a person who died at the beginning of 2023 from the morgue of a hospital in Valencia and realized that the documents submitted to the hospital registry and the registry office were forged.
