Russia investigates Western funding for internal terrorist acts, political tensions escalate with the Bidens denying any illegal involvement

Russia announced the launch of an investigation into “financing terrorism,” directly implicating Western countries.

This move follows Moscow’s allegations against the West and Ukraine concerning a deadly concert hall attack.

The probe centers on financial transactions involving U.S. firms in Ukraine, including Burisma Holding, an oil and gas company. Notably, this firm previously employed Hunter Biden, son of U.S. President Joe Biden.

The Investigative Committee of Moscow stated: “It has been established that financial funds received through commercial organizations, including the oil and gas company Burisma Holding, working in Ukraine over recent years were used to carry out terrorist acts inside Russia,” as reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP).

This inquiry emerges in the aftermath of a horrific attack on Crocus City Hall, resulting in 144 deaths.

The extremist group has claimed responsibility for this attack.

However, Moscow continues to accuse Western countries and Ukraine of involvement.

The U.S. officials have admitted to having warned Moscow about a possible impending attack.

The investigation seeks to uncover the source of millions of dollars and the roles played by specific Western government officials and public commercial organizations.

The Investigative Committee further elaborated, aiming to establish “links of the direct perpetrators of terrorist acts with their foreign curators, organizations and sponsors.”

This probe coincides with U.S. Republicans’ efforts to question President Biden’s integrity, accusing him of aiding his son’s business dealings in Ukraine. Joe and Hunter Biden have repeatedly denied engaging in any illegal activities.

In a related event, a former FBI informer was arrested in February for fabricating corruption accusations against the Bidens, adding another dimension to this politically charged situation.
