Qatar’s emir and the French president emphasize the urgency of promoting “peace and stability in the Middle East” during discussions at the Elysee Palace

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed on Tuesday the need to bring “peace and stability in the Middle East” as Israel continues its attacks on Palestine.

The leaders deliberated on the complex situation in the Gaza Strip, expressing their concerns and emphasizing the urgency of addressing the root causes of the conflict.

The Elysee Palace issued a statement outlining the key points of the discussion, noting the shared commitment to work toward creating conditions conducive to a sustainable return to peace and stability in the Middle East, involving collaboration with international partners.

Macron reiterated his readiness to contribute to the peace process, underscoring the imperative for a two-state solution that envisions Israel and Palestine coexisting harmoniously with shared peace and security.

This diplomatic stance aligns with international efforts seeking a just resolution to the longstanding Israel-Palestine conflict.
