An Israeli air strike hit a four-story residential building near the Al-Muhammadi Mosque in Damascus, causing five casualties and several injuries

An Israeli air strike has reportedly struck a four-story residential building in the capital city of Syria, on Saturday, according to state media. The explosion occurred near the Al-Muhammadi Mosque, with information suggesting the collapse of the building.

While local sources claimed that targets are linked to Iran’s axis militias, the Israeli government still hasn’t commented on the incident.

Initial reports indicate that the Israeli strike targeted the vicinity of the Seyida Zainab area in Damascus. Initial reports added that there are 5 casualties and several injuries resulting from the explosion. The affected area is known for its residential structures and cultural significance, with the Al-Muhammadi Mosque being a prominent landmark.
