5 PKK terrorists eliminated in northern Iraq
In a written statement, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced that five PKK terrorists were eliminated in the Metina and Qandil regions of northern Iraq.
The ministry stated, “We will continue our fight against terrorism with proactive and uninterrupted operations to eliminate the threat at its source.”
The PKK, a terrorist organization active in Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran, poses a threat to the territorial integrity of all four countries.
Since its first attack in 1981, the PKK has been responsible for the deaths of thousands of Turkish citizens.
