Young neo-Nazi stabs 7 in Türkiye, shares POV video after disturbing manifesto
A knife-wielding assailant was arrested Sunday after a brutal attack at a tea garden in Eskisehir’s Tepebasi district, leaving seven people injured. The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Arda K., had posted a disturbing manifesto online prior to the attack, revealing his neo-Nazi sympathies and hatred for humanity.
The incident unfolded at Sehit Rustem Demirbas Park in the Uluonder neighborhood, where Arda K. entered the tea garden near a mosque wearing a helmet, face mask, and tactical vest, armed with a knife and a hatchet. He began stabbing those present randomly, injuring seven people, one of whom was critically wounded with a stab to the neck.
Local residents quickly subdued Arda K. as he attempted to flee the scene. Police arrived shortly after, arresting the suspect and taking him into custody. Emergency responders transported the injured to Eskisehir City Hospital, where two victims remain in critical condition.
Arda K. was live for two-minutes during the attack, recording the assault from a first-person perspective. The video, which has since gone viral, shows the harrowing moments as he randomly attacked bystanders.
In his manifesto, Arda K. described himself as a young man born in 2006 in Eskisehir to a “middle-class family.” He wrote about his strained relationship with his parents, stating, “I never got along well with my family; I was closer to my grandfather and grandmother.”
Arda K. detailed how his “hatred for humanity” began in middle school and intensified after he fell into a deep depression upon finishing school. “Life wasn’t worth living; it didn’t make sense to be a slave to this shitty system,” he wrote. His depression, coupled with growing animosity towards humanity, eventually led him to what he described as his “life’s purpose”—to kill as many people as possible.
The manifesto also revealed his extremist beliefs and identification with neo-Nazi ideology. “Politically, I could be described as a National Socialist, but in this Jew-controlled system and society, that doesn’t seem possible,” he stated.
Arda K. meticulously outlined his plan for the attack, which included taking a “cold shower” and donning “the best clothes” to avoid looking like a “beggar” while carrying out the killings. He intended to use a hatchet and a knife as his weapons, hoping to “cleanse the world of as many insects as possible.”
The manifesto also mentioned an initial plan to attack the local office of the Communist Party of Türkiye (TKP), but he claimed he had to carry out the attack earlier than planned. “I hope you enjoy the broadcast,” he wrote, encouraging others to live-stream similar actions and ensure recordings are archived to inspire future extremists. “What you do will not be forgotten by me or other saints.”
