In the humanitarian aid efforts for Gaza, the United Arab Emirates leads the list, followed by Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar despite ongoing Israeli restrictions and limited entry permissions for aid

According to data from the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), an agency of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Türkiye has emerged as the second-largest provider of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which is under attack by Israel. Türkiye’s humanitarian aid proportion reached 23 percent.

As per COGAT’s data for March 31, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) topped the list with a 26 percent humanitarian aid rate, despite ongoing Israeli restrictions and limited entry permissions for aid.

Türkiye, contributing 23 percent of the aid, secured the second position for delivering the most aid. Following Türkiye, Saudi Arabia contributed 16 percent, and Qatar followed with 8 percent.

In a shared update by COGAT on the same date, out of a total of 21 ambulances permitted to enter the Gaza Strip since March 26, 9 were donated by Türkiye, placing Türkiye in the lead for this category. Kuwait followed Türkiye with 8 ambulances.

Country Humanitarian Aid Rate Ambulances Donated
United Arab Emirates 26%
Turkey 23% 9
Saudi Arabia 16%
Qatar 8%
Kuwait 8

Türkiye continues to coordinate with Egypt to deliver comprehensive humanitarian aid to Gaza since the onset of Israeli attacks.

Despite international appeals for Israel to permit humanitarian aid entry into Gaza through the Rafah Border Crossing with Egypt, Tel Aviv authorities have not heeded the calls.

Additionally, Israel refuses to comply with the interim measures ordered by the International Court of Justice regarding allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza, as part of the ongoing genocide case brought against Israel by South Africa.
