Türkiye freezes assets of 16 individuals over alleged financing of terrorist groups
Türkiye has frozen the assets of 16 individuals based on credible evidence of their involvement in financing terrorist organizations.
The decision, announced in the Official Gazette, is now in effect.
The list includes nationals from Uzbekistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Syria.
Türkiye has frozen the assets of 16 individuals under Article 6, “Requests by Foreign States,” of the Law on the Prevention of the Financing of Terrorism.
The decision is based on reasonable grounds that these individuals have been involved in funding or collecting funds for terrorism.
If the requesting state does not launch an investigation within one year, the asset freeze may be lifted.
