Türkiye condemns Israeli airstrikes on Iran, calls for international action
The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s recent airstrikes on Iran, calling for immediate international intervention to address the escalating tensions in the region. In a written statement, the ministry labeled the attack as a significant threat to regional peace and stability.
Türkiye condemns Israeli attack in strong terms
Türkiye expressed its strongest condemnation of Israel’s military actions, criticizing the country for fueling instability in the Middle East. The statement also referenced Israel’s actions in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, accusing the Israeli government of bringing the region closer to a larger conflict.
“Israel, which is committing genocide in Gaza, preparing to annex the West Bank, and killing civilians in Lebanon, has pushed our region to the brink of a bigger war,” the statement said.
Call for international action against Israel
The Turkish Foreign Ministry called on the international community to act immediately against what it described as “Israeli terror” in the region. The ministry urged global actors to enforce international law and restrain the Israeli government under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, warning that further inaction could lead to greater instability.
“We call on the international community to take swift and decisive action to ensure peace and security and to stop Israel’s aggressive actions in the region,” the ministry stated.
Türkiye reaffirms commitment to peace
Türkiye reiterated its desire for peace and stability in the Middle East, stressing that the region cannot afford more war, violence, or lawlessness. The ministry called for regional and international actors to adopt a rational and calm approach to resolving the current tensions.
“Restoring peace in the Middle East requires both regional and external players to act with wisdom and restraint,” the statement concluded.
