Turkish F-16s in the Baltic skies again

As part of the ongoing BALTOPS24 exercise, Türkiye has deployed three F-16 fighter jets and 50 personnel to Poland. The announcement was made by Rauf Alp Denktas, the Turkish Ambassador to Poland.

“A distinct pleasure to welcome the Turkish Air Force F16s and crew to Poland. Over the next several weeks they will be with us —participating in NATO’s BALTOPS24,” said Ambassador Denktaş. “Türkiye has been participating in BALTOPS exercises since the 1970s. This year, 3 F16s and 50 personnel will be taking part in the premier maritime-focused military exercise in the Baltics.”

These exercises underscore Turkey’s dedication to maintaining and enhancing its military readiness and effectiveness on multiple fronts. The Turkish Armed Forces continue to build on their robust training regimen, ensuring their personnel are well-prepared for a wide range of operational scenarios.

Turkish Armed Forces Successfully Conduct Multiple Exercises

The Turkish Armed Forces have successfully completed several military exercises, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to enhancing operational capabilities and deterrence across land, sea, and air.

The recently completed exercises include:

  • Efes-2024
  • Turkey-Qatar Ilgin
  • Yildirim Mobilization
  • Snow-Master
  • Ramstein Guard
  • Dacia-Tomix-Opex

Additionally, the Turkish Armed Forces are currently participating in a series of international exercises:

  • Caucasus Eagle in Azerbaijan
  • Coalition Forces Interoperability in Poland
  • Ramstein Legacy and Steadfast Interest in Romania
  • Volcano in Eskisehir
  • NATO Tiger Meet in Germany
  • BALTOPS in the Baltic Sea
