The Ministry of National Defense on Monday declared Fetullah Gulen, the ringleader of the Gulenist Terror Group (FETO), a “stateless traitor” following his death in the U.S., in a statement released on social media.

“The ringleader of FETO, who has caused significant harm to our state and brave army, is dead. He plotted against the independence and future of our noble nation by manipulating brainwashed individuals,” read the statement.

The statement stressed that although Gulen’s death as a “stateless” person – and the fact that he will be remembered as such – may not ease the suffering of citizens harmed by his organization, it stands as a cautionary lesson about the inevitable fate of those who betray their homeland.

“Those who persist in betraying their homeland and nation as captives of this organization should take note and surrender to our esteemed justice system without delay,” the statement underscored.

The ministry asserted that the fight against all terrorist organizations, particularly FETO, which exploit every value to betray our people and our country, will continue with determination and resolve until they are completely eradicated.

“On this occasion, we once again honor all our martyrs, especially those from July 15, with mercy and gratitude. We express our respect and appreciation to our veterans and the families of our martyrs and veterans,” the statement concluded.
