Rocket shells fired from Syria land near Türkiye’s Kilis border, igniting fire
Two rocket shells fired from Syria landed near Türkiye’s Kilis border. A rocket ricocheting from clashes on the Syrian side of the Turkish border fell in a mined area, igniting a fire.
Meanwhile, security sources indicate that the Turkish army was not involved in the incident and deny claims that a response was given.
In the evening, the mortars struck rural areas, specifically Oylum Höyüğü and Akıncılar in Kilis, a city in southern Türkiye.
‘There is no attack on our borders’
Meanwhile, Türkiye’s Center for Combating Disinformation states, “There has been no attack on our borders.”
“Turkish Armed Forces have no involvement in the conflict in Syria,” the statement added.
