‘Israel’s aggression extends to Türkiye’

“Israel’s aggression extends to Türkiye. We will oppose this state terrorism with every means at our disposal for the sake of our country, our nation, and our independence,” he said.

Erdogan accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza and carrying out terrorist attacks in Lebanon, while also attempting to drag regional countries into broader conflict through provocations. Erdogan said he issued a clear warning to Israel that “consequences of a ground operation in Lebanon will not be similar to its past occupations.”

“We are not dealing with a state bound by law, but with a gang of killers that thrives on bloodshed and occupation,” he stated.

Israel’s aggression beyond Gaza and Lebanon

Erdogan warned that Israel’s actions are not confined to Palestine and Lebanon.

“Driven by the delusion of a ‘Promised Land’, the Israeli government will, after Palestine and Lebanon, set its sights on our homeland,” he said. Erdogan described the Israeli government as moving forward with expansionist policies that could ultimately threaten Türkiye’s territorial integrity.

“Whatever the cost, Türkiye will continue to stand against Israel and invite the world to this honorable stance,” said Erdogan. He added, “I warn Israel clearly: your ground operation in Lebanon will not be the same as your previous occupations. Türkiye must stand by Lebanon, and the international community must urgently provide support to Lebanon.”

He reiterated that Türkiye will not allow Israel’s actions to go unanswered, emphasizing that the aggression poses a direct threat to regional stability.

“Occupation, terror, and aggression are right next to us,” Erdogan said, adding, “We will stand against this with all our might.”

Regional implications

Erdogan also called attention to Israel’s broader objectives in the region. “While committing genocide in Gaza and terrorist attacks in Lebanon, Israel is also trying every provocation to draw regional countries into its own fire,” he said, underscoring the potential for the conflict to escalate further in the Middle East.

The Turkish president’s comments come amid escalating violence in Gaza and Lebanon, with Israeli military operations intensifying and fears of a wider regional conflict growing.
