President Erdogan highlights inseparable bond between Istanbul and Jerusalem

In a Turkish Victory Day address at the Military Academy graduation ceremony on Friday, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized the deep and enduring connection between Istanbul and Jerusalem, declaring that the two cities are inseparable in their shared history and cultural significance.
“Who can separate Istanbul from Jerusalem?” Erdogan asked, highlighting the symbolic bond that ties the two cities. His rhetorical question underscored the profound cultural, historical, and spiritual links that have existed for centuries between Türkiye and Jerusalem. Erdogan’s words reflected the idea that, beyond geographical distances, the two cities are united by a shared legacy and a common identity that cannot be divided.

Erdogan condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza, reaffirming Türkiye’s solidarity with the Palestinian people.
