The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz’s slanderous social media post, reiterating Türkiye’s principled stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement denouncing a recent social media post by Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz while highlighting Türkiye’s stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In the statement, Türkiye reaffirms President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s condemnation of Israel’s actions against Palestinians and emphasizes ongoing Turkish efforts to end the violence and garner international isolation against Israel.

The Ministry asserts that baseless allegations from certain Israeli politicians against Türkiye and President Erdogan stem from Israel’s discomfort with Türkiye’s principled stance on the matter.

Furthermore, the Ministry underscores the threat posed by the genocidal policies of the extremist Israeli government, not only to Palestinians but also to Israelis themselves. Türkiye remains steadfast in raising awareness of Israel’s discriminatory policies against Palestinians and vows to advocate for their rights until they secure a state of their own.

“This is the real reason why some Israeli politicians are disrespectfully targeting Türkiye and President Erdogan with baseless allegations. The genocidal policies of the extremist Israeli government have now become a threat to both Palestinians and Israelis”, statement included.

Statements from AK Party

Türkiye’s ruling AK Party spokesperson Omer Celik slams Israeli foreign minister’s social media post regarding Türkiye ceasing all trade with Israel as well. In a statement shared via his social media account, Celik asserted: 

“The Israeli Foreign Minister serves as the mouthpiece for a genocidal organization. Hence, he is perturbed by the words of our President. The sagacity of our President and our nation will continue to unsettle you. You will falter in the face of human conscience. Your despotic, savage, and incendiary politics will face condemnation under the law.”

“The criminal outfit led by Netanyahu stands as the most barbaric entity witnessed in human history,” Celik added.

Recently, Israeli Foreign Minister Katz shared President Erdogan’s words about Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and made slanderous remarks.
