The Turkish Foreign Ministry has warned citizens whose stay in Lebanon is not mandatory to leave the country while commercial flights are still in operation. The Ministry has issued a travel warning for Lebanon, citing the potential for a rapid deterioration in security conditions. The statement advises:

“Due to recent developments in the region, there is a risk of a rapid decline in the security situation in Lebanon. Therefore, our citizens are strongly advised to avoid traveling to Lebanon unless absolutely necessary.”

‘If possible, depart Lebanon’

“Citizens currently in Lebanon should exercise caution, avoid traveling to Nabatieh, South Lebanon, Bekaa, and Baalbek-Hermel provinces unless essential, and, if possible, depart Lebanon on commercial flights while they remain available.”

“It is recommended to monitor updates on the official websites and social media accounts of our Ministry and the Beirut Embassy.”

“For emergencies, please contact the Beirut Embassy at: +961 3 944 904 / +961 70 622 012.”
