20 suspects detained in anti-FETO operations across 11 provinces in Türkiye
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced Wednesday that 20 suspects were arrested during the “Kiskac-25” operations targeting the Gulenist Terror Group (FETO) across 11 provinces.
The coordinated raids involved the Counterterrorism, Intelligence, and Anti-Smuggling departments of the General Directorate of Security, alongside local police units in Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Corum, Elazig, Istanbul, Izmir, Ordu, Samsun, Kahramanmaras and Van.
Yerlikaya emphasized that operations against terrorist organizations and their collaborators will continue with determination.
The suspects were involved in FETO’s so-called “secret military structure,” using payphones to communicate and maintain ties with key figures within the organization.
They were identified as users of FETO’s encrypted communication app, ByLock and were named in testimonies and identifications.
Some had outstanding warrants and finalized prison sentences related to FETO investigations.
Minister Yerlikaya shared footage of the operations and commended the police teams involved.
