In a series of operations targeting three separate criminal organizations across 13 provinces centered in Bursa, a total of 112 suspects have been detained.
The Mahzen-46 operation has led to the dismantling of three criminal organizations operating at a national level. These organizations were reportedly led by individuals named Vedat Kipcak, Fırat Erdal, and Ersin Bulut, according to the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The investigation conducted by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office encompassed crimes such as “establishing an armed organization for the purpose of committing crimes, drug trafficking within the organization, money laundering, migrant smuggling, coercion, violence, and threats in support of criminals.”
The operation, executed by the Bursa Police Department Narcotics Division targeting 115 suspects, resulted in the apprehension of 112 individuals. During searches at various locations, law enforcement seized significant amounts of illicit substances, including 55,320 kilograms of synthetic drugs, 87 liters of liquid synthetic drugs, 35 grams of cocaine, and 450,374 green prescription pills.
Authorities also seized 17 precision scales, seven pistols, 60 bullets and ₺209,500 ($15,753).
The announcement also indicated that procedures for the detained suspects are underway, while efforts to capture the remaining three suspects are ongoing.
