Türkiye’s national women’s volleyball team, the “Sultans of the Net,” continued their strong start in the 2025 Volleyball Nations League, defeating Poland 3–2 in a tightly contested match on Saturday.

Held at Beijing National Stadium, the match ended with set scores of 25–21, 18–25, 25–23, 22–25, and 15–7 in favor of Türkiye. The victory marked their third win in as many matches, following earlier victories over France (3–1) and Thailand (3–0).

The match saw strong performances from Hande Baladin, Alexia Carutasu, and Deniz Uyanik. Carutasu delivered two consecutive aces during a crucial 5–0 run in the final set.

Baladin impressed throughout the match with powerful spikes and key defensive plays.

Poland managed to push the game to a fifth set by winning the fourth 25–22, but Türkiye held their nerve in the decider.

Defensive coordination was key, with Deniz and Dilay combining effectively at the net, and Asli Kalac contributing an ace earlier in the match to help establish momentum. With this result, Türkiye maintains its perfect record in the tournament.

The team will continue its Nations League campaign next week, looking to extend its unbeaten streak and build momentum heading into the final stages.
