Turkish female boxer Buse Naz Cakiroglu is European champion for the third time
World and European champion national boxer Buse Naz Cakiroglu, who wrote her name in gold letters in history as Turkey’s first female boxer to win a quota for the Olympics, became the European champion for the third time in a row.
At the 2024 European Senior Boxing Championships held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, Buse Naz Cakiroglu, who reached the final by beating her Spanish rival Marta Lopez Del Abbol in the quarterfinals and Bulgarian athlete Venelina Poptoleva in the semifinals, defeated Anastasiia Kool 5-0 in three rounds in the final and put the gold medal around her neck.
Cakiroglu, who won the European championship in Spain/Alcobendas in 2019 and in Montenegro/Budva in 2022, reached the third championship in her career at the 2024 Senior European Boxing Championships, where she competed in the final for the 4th time.
Cakiroglu, who has two gold and one silver medal in the senior European championships, won his 3rd gold in the organization where he reached the final for the 4th time.
