Italian Serie A giant Juventus' English-language X account was hacked on Monday with the hackers falsely claiming the transfer of Turkish star Arda Guler to the Old Lady.
The hackers shared a photo of Real Madrid's star Guler in a tweet that said, "Welcome to Juventus, Arda Güler."
However, Turkish sports journalists refuted the claims.
Turkish sports journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu stated that the claims were baseless. It soon transpired that the account was hacked.
After the tweet that falsely announced Guler's switch to Juventus, the hackers tweeted that 'it was merely a joke.'
