Turkish athletes dominate the rankings by winning 3 gold and 7 bronze medals at the European Karate Championships in Croatia
Turkish athletes won 3 gold and 7 bronze medals at the European Karate Championships in Zadar, Croatia, and topped the team rankings.
Ali Sofuoglu and Dilara Bozan put their skills to the test and claimed the coveted title of a European champion in a thrilling display of skill and determination.
The Turkish Karate Federation proudly announced the excellent performance of the Turkish team who outperformed their rivals from Germany and Croatia with 3 gold and 7 bronze medals.
Para Karate success
Meanwhile, Nesrin Cavadzade contributed to Türkiye’s victory by winning the gold medal in the women’s K30 category at the European Para Karate Championships.
Berkay Uslu, on the other hand, won bronze in the men’s K30 category with a commendable performance, adding to the medal tally and further highlighting Türkiye’s prowess in karate.
Congratulations from the Minister
Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Askin Bak congratulated the national karate athletes and para karate athletes who won a total of 12 medals, 4 gold and 8 bronze. Bak thanked everyone who contributed and wished Türkiye’s talented athletes continued success.
“I thank those who contributed to the success of our national karate players on behalf of my country and myself. I wish continued success to our national athletes who came first in the general classification in the championship where 600 athletes from 51 countries participated,” Bak stated.
