Galatasaray has officially announced the termination of Hakim Ziyech‘s contract by mutual agreement. The Moroccan playmaker’s next destination is expected to be confirmed soon.

Surprising departure amid transfer window activity

Galatasaray, which recently signed Ahmed Kutucu from Eyupspor, has seen a significant departure as Ziyech bids farewell to the club. As the transfer window progresses, Galatasaray fans eagerly await new signings to strengthen the squad.

Official statement from Galatasaray

The Istanbul-based club released an official statement confirming the contract termination: “Our professional footballer Ziyech’s contract has been mutually terminated. We thank Hakim Ziyech for his efforts and contributions to Galatasaray. Wishing him success in his future journey.”

Hakim Ziyech’s new destination: Qatar?

Reports suggest that Ziyech has already reached an agreement with Qatari club Al-Duhail. Currently in Qatar, the 31-year-old midfielder is expected to finalize his transfer in the coming days.

Ziyech’s Galatasaray tenure

Since joining Galatasaray, Ziyech made 34 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals and providing five assists.

During his time in Türkiye, he helped the team secure one Super Lig title and one Super Cup victory.
