Antalyaspor has officially terminated the contract of their head coach, Alex de Souza. The Brazilian legend is widely remembered for his illustrious playing career at Fenerbahce, where he became a fan favorite.

During his time at Fenerbahçe, Alex scored 136 goals and provided 101 assists in 245 appearances. He also won multiple Turkish Super Lig titles and was named the league’s top scorer twice.

Despite his coaching tenure at Antalyaspor being short-lived, Alex’s legacy as a player remains unmatched.

Failed to meet expectations

Alex de Souza, who managed Antalyaspor for 24 matches, led the team to 12 wins, three draws and nine losses, accumulating a total of 39 points. His points-per-game average stands at 1.63.

The Mediterranean club signed a two-year contract with Alex de Souza on May 30, 2024.

The Brazilian manager had previously coached Sao Paulo U20 and Avai FC before joining Antalyaspor.
