PKK/YPG terrorist attack kills 2, injures 8 in Syria’s Jarabulus district
A rocket attack by the PKK/YPG terrorist group killed two people and injured eight others on Tuesday in the opposition-held Jarabulus district of northern Syria, local sources reported.
The attack occurred when PKK/YPG terrorists stationed in the Zor Magar region east of the Euphrates targeted the area with rockets.
Clashes had resumed on Nov. 27 between Syrian regime forces and anti-regime armed groups on the outskirts of Aleppo, marking a re-escalation in Syria’s civil war, which began in 2011.
The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the U.S., and the EU, has waged a 40-year terror campaign against Türkiye, claiming over 40,000 lives.
The YPG, a Syrian offshoot of the PKK, has attempted to establish a “terror corridor” along the Turkish border, prompting Türkiye to deploy troops to prevent this and safeguard local populations from terrorist violence.
