Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the U.S. Congress, receiving a prolonged standing ovation before beginning his speech. During his remarks, Netanyahu expressed gratitude toward U.S. President Joe Biden, saying, “I thank President Biden for being a proud Zionist.”
“For the forces of civilization to triumph, America and Israel must stand together. If we stand together, we win and they lose.”
Netanyahu argues that when Israel fights Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, it is fighting Iran and, as a result, protecting the Americans.
“Our enemies are your enemies,” Netanyahu said, and was met with applause and boos when he said, ”Our victory will be your victory.”
“Our world is in upheaval. In the Middle East, Iran’s axis of terror confronts America, Israel and our Arab friends. This is not a clash of civilizations. It’s a clash between barbarism and civilization,” he added.
