The assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh has ignited protests in several areas of the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
In Ramallah, Palestinians gathered in streets and neighborhoods, marching with Hamas and Palestinian flags.
Protesters in Iran’s capital, Tehran, condemned the assassination, chanting slogans against Israel.
Similar demonstrations took place in Bethlehem, Hebron, Nablus, Tulkarm, Salfit, Jenin, Tubas and Qalqilya.
Protesters frequently chanted, “There is no god but Allah, Haniyeh is His beloved servant,” “revenge,” and “O Yahya Sinwar, stand firm, we will take our revenge.”
