A convoy of 57 trucks carrying shelter materials has crossed the Kerem Abu Salem Border Crossing into Gaza, the Turkish Red Crescent announced on Sunday.
The shipment is part of an ongoing multi-stage humanitarian operation aimed at addressing urgent needs in the war-affected region.
The latest delivery, coordinated by Türkiye's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), is part of a planned 90-truck aid mission providing food, medical supplies, and shelter materials to displaced civilians in Gaza.
Earlier in the week, food parcels and canned meats were delivered to Gaza, and distribution efforts are ongoing to ensure that aid reaches the most vulnerable communities.
During periods when border crossings were closed, the Turkish Red Crescent continued to operate soup kitchens, serving hot meals to approximately 25,000 people daily in both northern and southern Gaza.
As part of AFAD's humanitarian response, Türkiye has dispatched its 14th aid ship, which is currently en route to Gaza.
The shipment contains critical food supplies, tents, blankets, and medical equipment and is expected to reach the region in the coming days.
According to data from Israel's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), Türkiye has provided 26% of all humanitarian aid delivered to Gaza, ranking as one of the largest contributors alongside the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Türkiye's aid contributions include:
In addition to food and medical supplies, Türkiye continues to focus on infrastructure support and long-term humanitarian assistance for Gaza's civilian population.
