The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced Thursday that the indigenously developed Bayraktar TB3 unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) has officially entered the Land Forces Command inventory, marking another milestone in the country's expanding domestic defense capabilities.
Rear Admiral Zeki Akturk, Ministry of National Defense press and public relations advisor and ministry Spokesperson, confirmed the development during a weekly press briefing at the Land Forces Training and Doctrine Command (EDOK).
"Turkish Armed Forces' modern and powerful defense and security capacity continues to be enhanced with domestic and national defense industry products," Akturk stated.
"Our Land Forces Command has completed inspection and acceptance activities for various quantities of Bayraktar TB-3 UCAV and ILTER J-350 jamming systems, adding them to the inventory," he noted.
The spokesperson also announced that the fourth T-70 helicopter has entered the Air Force Command's inventory following inspection and acceptance activities under the General Purpose Helicopter project.
The Bayraktar TB3 represents a significant advancement in Türkiye's unmanned aerial vehicle technology, specifically designed for operations from short-runway amphibious assault ships.
