Recently, research company SocialBlade released new data shedding light on the earnings, viewership, and subscriber numbers of YouTubers from around the world, with Turkish YouTubers’ impressive income figures also making headlines.

YouTube: A platform for global riches

YouTube, with billions of subscribers and millions of content creators, continues to grow, creating wealth for many individuals. Content creators earn revenue based on the viewership of their videos, and several YouTubers, especially in Türkiye, have become well-known for their content that attracts millions of views.

Top earning Turkish YouTubers revealed

According to data from SocialBlade, the most prominent Turkish YouTubers, along with their estimated earnings, have been identified. Among the highest earners are figures such as Ruhi Cenet, Orkun Isitmak, and Tuna Tavus.

How much do YouTubers earn?

In 2024, Tuna Tavus, with 2.37 million subscribers, earned an estimated ₺130 million ($3.7 million). Ruhi Cenet, with 11.3 million subscribers, made ₺113.6 million ($3.2 million $), while Orkun Isitmak, with 11.6 million subscribers, reached ₺120 million ($3.4 million $).

These YouTubers consistently create new content for their channels, with their income directly linked to the viewership of their videos.

Other noteworthy YouTuber earnings

Other YouTubers making impressive earnings include:

  • Testo Taylan: ₺85 million ($2.4 million)
  • Deli Mi Ne?: ₺18.42 million ($519,000)
  • Mertcan Bahar: ₺17.75 million ($500,000)
  • Alper Rende: ₺13.8 million ($391,400)
  • Burak Oyunda: ₺2 million ($58,000)

Tax Implications for YouTubers in Türkiye

In 2021, the Turkish government introduced a taxation system for social media content creators, requiring YouTubers to pay 15% of their earnings in income tax.

These regulations have had a direct impact on the revenue streams of Turkish YouTubers, reducing their take-home earnings.
