Türkiye’s defense and aerospace industry achieved a new export milestone in April 2025, reaching $539 million, according to a statement by Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) Chairman Haluk Gorgun.
Posting on social media, Gorgun announced that the sector recorded a 54% year-on-year increase for the month, while exports during the January–April period rose 67%, totaling $2.24 billion.
Gorgun emphasized that this performance is part of a sustained upward trend, not a temporary success.
“These figures are not a momentary achievement, but a reflection of a determined and strategically supported upward trajectory,” he said.
According to official data, 12-month cumulative exports reached $7.64 billion, marking a 42% increase compared to the same period last year.
Gorgun reiterated that the Presidency of Defense Industries remains committed to expanding exports through products based on high technology and high added value.
"We are working with all our strength to ensure the sustainability of exports with high-tech products. We will continue to strengthen the chain of success together, from large-scale firms to SMEs.”
He also acknowledged the contributions of industrialists, workers, and all stakeholders, stating, "We will continue to work tirelessly for a Türkiye that grows with national technologies."
