Türkiye's motorbike demand surges in 2024

Motorbike registrations in Türkiye exceeded 1 million during the first 10 months of 2024, marking the first time this figure has crossed the 1 million threshold.

This represents a 27.7% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The rising demand for two-wheelers is particularly evident in major cities, driven by factors like growing population density and more affordable prices.

Metropolises fuel motorbike usage

Data reveals a surge in motorbike registrations in metropolises, mostly signifying mounting population density and much preferable prices:

• Istanbul: The number of total registered motorbikes reached 771,880 by October 2024, growing by 24.10% compared to the same period last year.
• Ankara: The number of total registered motorbikes neared 135,000, rising by 34.42%.
• Izmir: The number of total registered motorbikes came up to 455,000, with an increase of 19.61%.
• Antalya: The number of total registered motorbikes rose by 16.07% to 485,000.

On the other hand, personal auto registrations recorded 750,000 by 6% increase, falling far behind motorbike demands.
