Turkish biotechnology company AVB Biotechnology introduces carbon capture technology called ‘Dr. Oxygen’, which uses Molecular Magnetization Technique to remove carbon dioxide from atmosphere

In the ongoing battle against global warming, a Turkish biotechnology company has unveiled a groundbreaking carbon capture technology. The technology, named ‘Dr. Oxygen,’ utilizing Molecular Magnetization Technique, is poised to offer a solution to global warming, while also enabling companies to generate revenue through on-site carbon production.

The European Union is set to implement border carbon adjustments starting in 2026. Under this new regime, companies exporting goods to EU countries will face increased taxes if their production processes contribute to carbon emissions. These taxes will be gradually increased until 2030. With approximately half of Turkey’s exports destined for EU countries, industries are bracing for a challenging transition. The global cost of this transformation is anticipated to reach a staggering $100 trillion.

This revolutionary innovation not only strengthens the hand of Turkish companies in combating climate change but also provides them with a revenue stream. AVB Biotechnology, a local biotech firm, is introducing a new technology capable of capturing carbon from the atmosphere, discovered during research aimed at enhancing athletes’ performance. Known as ‘Dr. Oxygen,’ the system magnetizes carbon atoms from the air, releasing oxygen as a gas in the process.

While facilitating the removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, this technology also offers companies the opportunity to profit from the pure carbon obtained through the process. The Molecular Magnetization Technique has a wide range of potential applications, from the cement and iron-steel industries to automotive sectors, urban air purification, and household use.

Traditional carbon capture technologies primarily rely on chemical capture models, which often entail complex and costly processes with low efficiency. Instead of these methods, new chemical waste containing carbon dioxide is stored in special tanks and either deposited on the ocean floor or buried underground, the long-term environmental impacts of which are difficult to predict.

CEO of AVB Biotechnology, Serkan Tunç, stated that tests have shown a remarkable 98% reduction in air pollution and an extraordinary 92% efficiency in carbon capture. Tunç emphasized, “Our technology yields two clear outcomes: high-purity solid carbon is obtained, while the oxygen separated from carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide is released back into the atmosphere as gas. Pure carbon and its allotropes can be utilized as raw materials across various sectors. This technology presents an opportunity for industries with high carbon emissions to generate additional income.”

Elon Musk, the renowned entrepreneur, had announced a $100 million donation to the developer of the best carbon capture technology. Serkan Tunç suggested that instead of a donation, Musk could establish this technology in the United States. Tunç remarked, “We are preparing to provide oxygen to the entire world. If he shares the same vision, establishing this system in the US would suffice. We believe that once this is done, the issue of global warming will be rapidly addressed.”
