TOGG’s electric sedan to offer 80 kilometers more range
Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir visited Türkiye’s Automobile Joint Venture Group (TOGG) technology campus in the Gemlik district of Bursa, where he received updates on the company’s activities and test-drove TOGG’s first sedan model, the T10F.
During his visit, Kacir was briefed on TOGG’s ongoing operations, including safety and durability testing processes for the T10F. He highlighted the company’s rapid progress and the country’s alignment with global regulations.
“Since September, we have initiated the process of complying with global safety regulations in Türkiye. As of this month, General Safety Regulations (GSR) 2 have become mandatory in the country. TOGG swiftly adapted to this new regulation. I also had the pleasure of experiencing TOGG’s autonomous driving capabilities firsthand,” Kacir said.
TOGG sedan with extended range
Kacir also announced that TOGG’s new model, the T10F, will be introduced next year, targeting a broader audience. “The T10F is a more sporty design but still meets the expectations of a sedan. It will offer an 80-kilometer longer range compared to the current SUV model, which will be a welcome feature for electric vehicle users. We place great importance on the expansion of both TOGG and other electric vehicles in Türkiye,” he added.
The minister emphasized the importance of charging infrastructure across the country, noting that there are currently 23,000 public charging points in all cities, with 8,000 of those offering fast charging services.
Expansion of charging infrastructure
Looking ahead, Kacir expressed plans to further support private sector investments in charging stations. “Türkiye is already one of the leading countries in Europe in terms of the number of public charging stations per electric vehicle. We aim to strengthen this leadership. TOGG will continue to be a source of pride for our country, both in R&D and production capabilities. We will always stand by TOGG and support its work,” he said.
He also praised the young, experienced team working at TOGG, stating, “This team is working hard for the future of Türkiye, and we will always support them in their efforts.”
