Microsoft prepares to unveil its strategy following weeks of speculation about Xbox exclusives making their way to the PS5 and Nintendo Switch

Microsoft is set to present its future vision for the Xbox at an upcoming event later this week following speculations regarding the potential availability of Xbox exclusives on the PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

The Xbox business update event is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 15.

Circulating rumors have hinted at the possibility of titles such as Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, and even Bethesda’s Starfield and Indiana Jones appearing on platforms other than Xbox.

While Microsoft has not explicitly addressed these rumors, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer, acknowledged them last week. “We’re listening and we hear you,” he said, before announcing the Xbox business update event.

The upcoming Xbox business update will be presented as an official podcast on Thursday. Microsoft typically releases Xbox video podcasts on YouTube, so a video will likely be available on Thursday.

Microsoft has confirmed that Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer, Xbox President Sarah Bond, and head of Xbox Studios Matt Booty will all be “sharing updates on the Xbox business” during this podcast.

This event follows closely on the heels of data-mined game assets that hinted at the potential release of Hi-Fi Rush for the PS5 and Nintendo Switch earlier this month, amidst ongoing rumors of Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves expanding to non-Xbox platforms.

Speculations have suggested that Starfield could also make its way to the PS5 while Microsoft is also contemplating launching its upcoming Indiana Jones game on the PS5, The Verge reported.
